Hellraiser's First Trailer From Hulu: Hell Returns To Earth

In Hulu's Hellraiser, the 11th installment of the horror series, the Cenobites make a violent comeback. Sense8 star Jamie Clayton plays Pinhead, the series' first transgender and main female actor. This version maintains its core values while offering a fresh perspective on the horrifying source material.

After several false starts, the relaunch of the venerable Hellraiser franchise finally debuts on Hulu on October 7. It is the first new Hellraiser film in four years. Clayton had only been depicted in photographs as Pinhead, but now the first trailer has arrived, and it tells the all-too-familiar tale of suffering and devilish delight.

David Bruckner, who also helmed two stories of Shudder's most recent Creepshow revival and a scene in the original V/H/S, is the director of this new chapter in the Hellraiser universe. Clive Barker, the creator of Hellraiser, attempted to get a new film off the ground in 2013 that was meant to be a retelling of the first film, but ultimately the studio chose a sequel in 2018, Hellraiser: Judgement.

The success of the 2018 Halloween franchise relaunch led Miramax Films to announce plans to adapt upcoming Hellraiser movies. Bruckner co-wrote the script with Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski, two of his frequent colleagues.

Odessa A'zion from Ghosts, Adam Faison from Grace and Frankie, Drew Starkey from Love, Simon, Brandon Flynn from 13 Reasons Why, Goran Visnjic from Gotham, and Hiam Abbass, round out the group (Blade Runner 2049).
