Finally unveiled at Ubisoft Forward 2022, Assassin's Creed Mirage intends to return the series to its beginnings in 2023. As Basim Ibn, a member of a group that acts as the Assassin's Brotherhood's backbone, you'll get to explore the streets of Baghdad. Still, unlike other entries, there's no sign of a skill tree with branches or multiple dialogue options. You'll be happy to know that preorders for Assassin's Creed Mirage are now open, and there's even some added content for those who reserve an early copy. The condensed experience is sure to excite the interest of longstanding fans.
At launch, Assassin's Creed Mirage will be playable on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3. Preorders are being accepted for the Standard ($50), Deluxe ($60), and Collector's ($150) versions. On launch day, Ubisoft+ subscribers can also play Assassin's Creed Mirage for no additional cost. Until October 10, you can test out Ubisoft+ for free to see if you enjoy the subscription service.
Preorder bonuses for Assassin's Creed Mirage
You can play the Forty Thieves side mission with an Assassin's Creed Mirage preorder. Although it's unclear how long this content will remain (or what plot line it will follow), it goes without saying that AC fans will want to delve as deeply as they can into the lore. Stay tuned for further information in the upcoming weeks on retailer-exclusive goodies.
The base game and any redeemable preorder bonuses are included in the Assassin's Creed Mirage standard edition. If you don't care about digital extras or collectibles, this is the cheapest way to get the game and is unquestionably your best choice. Additionally, regardless of the platform you select, it is only $50.
If you purchase the Deluxe edition of Assassin's Creed Mirage, you will also receive any preorder bonuses and some special digital items in addition to the base game. This includes the Deluxe Pack, which features a Prince of Persia-inspired eagle, mount, weapon skins, and in-game Basim attire.
You should reserve a copy of the $150 Collector's Case if you want to buy a tonne of swanky Assassin's Creed Mirage collectibles. If you can purchase one of these before they sell out ultimately, you'll receive the following content:
Deluxe Edition of Assassin's Creed Mirage
Various Video Game Soundtracks on CD
Unique Steelbook (final design to be selected by fans)
Basim figure, 32 cm
Map of Baghdad
Mini Artbook Basim's Brooch Downloadable Content Deluxe Pack: Prince of Persia-inspired eagle, mount, and weapon skins, as well as an in-game Basim costume
electronic art book
Many of the pillars present in games like Odyssey and Valhalla are being eliminated in Assassin's Creed Mirage. The world will be smaller than in some recent AC games, and there are no longer any skill trees or dialogue options. Instead, you'll put your attention back on parkour and social stealth.
It also seems that if things go wrong, killing swarms of adversaries isn't the most excellent course of action. Basim is "certainly not Eivor," according to Assassin's Creed Mirage art director Jean-Luc Sala, and you won't survive frontal confrontations with highly armed soldiers. Everything that was demonstrated during the webcast appears to be a tremendous advancement for the series, but we won't see it until about 2023.
